The Benefits of a Women’s Wilderness Weekend vs a Vacation
Someone asked me the other day about getting away, but a vacation can be stressful. The time away that truly rejuvenates me is our Women’s Wilderness Weekends and here is why!

Liz Muzzy during her first weekend retreat in October 2017.
I’m not at home but I feel at home.
I’m not concerned about packing to look good, just comfortable!
Sweats and slippers are acceptable all weekend. No resort wear needed.
No makeup, no problem.
No worries about where to go for dinner or catering to others’ wishes.
The dining room serves us all. Two choices or a salad.
No worries about how much to tip or spend on dinner.
No rush or pressure to sight-see, I can walk out into the woods or sit in the sun.
No pressure to bring back any souvenirs, no one expects anything from me.
I can participate in classes and learn new things or be alone.
I can share stories with other women or just listen.
I can go read a book. I can take a nap.
I can have some time for self care, a massage or reflexology.
I can explore my metaphysical side with a tarot card or intuitive reading.
I can unplug, mute my phone, pretend there is no service!
I can go sit in a corner and journal.
I can have a healthy snack or some cookies or chips.
I can chill out somewhere and no one expects anything from me.
No one is asking me a million questions!
That’s why a Women’s Wilderness Weekend is better than a vacation!
